EP200 - Stretch Your Mind

EP200 - Stretch Your Mind

Good day, my friend. Welcome to A Moment with Moj. Thank you so much for downloading this show. I am absolutely delighted to be here with you for episode 200!

Today's quote is by Oliver Wendell Holmes, I found a few different variations of it. So I'm going to do the un-gendered version, "The mind stretched to a new idea, never goes back to its original dimension."

It's been a great 200 episodes. I look forward to continuing the show with you after a break. I'm going to take six weeks off and when I come back, I'm changing the format a little. I'm going to take it from a daily show to a weekly show.

I'm finding that I really as much as I love doing this show. I'm spending a lot of time on it and I need to be able to spend some time focusing on that new goal of becoming a guitar teacher. I'm going to need to step back a little bit; like I said, I'm not going anywhere. Please stay subscribed, but if you don't, if you need to move along on your journey. I totally get it and I understand. And again, thank you for being part of my journey. Have a great April everybody. I'll talk to you in the second week of May.

WEBVTT 1 00:00:10.080 --> 00:00:18.000 Good Day, my friend. Welcome to a moment with modes. Thank you 2 00:00:18.160 --> 00:00:26.079 so much for downloading the show. I am absolutely delighted to be here with 3 00:00:26.160 --> 00:00:36.280 you for episode two hundred of a moment with mode. Today's quote is by 4 00:00:36.399 --> 00:00:42.280 Oliver Wendell Holmes. I found a few different variations of it, so I'm 5 00:00:42.320 --> 00:00:50.840 going to do the ungendered version. The mind stretched to a new idea never 6 00:00:50.880 --> 00:00:57.520 goes back to its original dimension. I really feel that over these last four 7 00:00:57.640 --> 00:01:06.280 years that I've really changed and I've really changed on a fundamental level. It 8 00:01:06.480 --> 00:01:15.719 started with the cancer and it really took off when two things hopped and they 9 00:01:15.719 --> 00:01:21.760 both kind of happened at the same time. One I was preparing a men's 10 00:01:21.799 --> 00:01:26.480 ceremony, so I was doing a little research and I kept seeing this quote 11 00:01:27.400 --> 00:01:34.640 don't argue about what a good man should be, be one by some guy 12 00:01:34.799 --> 00:01:42.439 named Marcus, a realius. At the same time my wife and I were 13 00:01:42.519 --> 00:01:48.959 doing yoga. We were doing DDP Yoga and DDP is a wrestler from back 14 00:01:48.959 --> 00:01:55.159 in the day and we really enjoyed it and I really like the positivity and 15 00:01:55.239 --> 00:02:01.560 the positive message that DDP was sending. Flipping through the Internet one day I 16 00:02:01.640 --> 00:02:08.000 saw a DDP video where he was on a Tony Robbins Event and he was 17 00:02:08.319 --> 00:02:15.639 lit up talking about it and I thought maybe there's something there. I always 18 00:02:15.680 --> 00:02:20.800 thought that Tony robins stuff was a little woo woo for me, but I 19 00:02:20.840 --> 00:02:24.520 really liked diamond dollas page and what he's saying on the Yogun. If he's 20 00:02:24.599 --> 00:02:30.240 there, then maybe there's something to it. And I watched I'm not your 21 00:02:30.240 --> 00:02:39.520 guru on Netflix and that opened up the whole motivational thing which led me from 22 00:02:39.520 --> 00:02:46.080 Tony Robbins to Jim Rowan and less brown and Lisa Nichols. When I finally 23 00:02:46.080 --> 00:02:54.240 reached a place where I was open to the message and actually began to listen, 24 00:02:55.639 --> 00:03:04.039 my thought process changed. The ways I saw the world changed definitely. 25 00:03:04.680 --> 00:03:10.280 My mind has been stretched and there's no way it's going to go back to 26 00:03:10.360 --> 00:03:19.599 the way it was. My friend, every day brings new opportunities to learn 27 00:03:19.639 --> 00:03:25.240 something new and you never know where that new possibility is going to lead you 28 00:03:25.319 --> 00:03:35.840 to. It's been a great two hundred episodes. I look forward to continuing 29 00:03:35.840 --> 00:03:40.280 the show with you after break. I'm going to take six weeks off and 30 00:03:40.280 --> 00:03:45.360 when I come back I'm changing the format a little and I'm going to take 31 00:03:45.400 --> 00:03:52.159 it from a daily show to a weekly show. I'm finding that I'm really 32 00:03:52.199 --> 00:03:55.479 as much as I'd love doing this show, I'm spending a lot of time 33 00:03:55.520 --> 00:04:01.120 on it and I need to be able to spend some time focusing on that 34 00:04:01.199 --> 00:04:06.400 new goal of becoming a guitar teacher. I'm going to need to step back 35 00:04:06.439 --> 00:04:12.319 a little bit. Like I said, I'm not going anywhere. Please stay 36 00:04:12.360 --> 00:04:15.199 subscribe, but if you don't, if you need to move along on your 37 00:04:15.279 --> 00:04:21.079 journey, I totally get it and I understand and again, thank you for 38 00:04:21.279 --> 00:04:28.560 being part up my journey. have a great April, everybody. I'll talk 39 00:04:28.560 --> 00:04:40.959 to you in the second week of May. Carpe momentum.
